In the previous step, you learned how to Restrict or Permit Access to Pages. Now, we will take a more granular approach and restrict access to specific page elements.

  1. Open the Content View and use the HMI Content Tree (Content View) and select the element you want to be restricted.

  2. Locate the Display Condition Property in the Properties Panel (Content View) on the right side of the screen. Activate the option and chose Check Role (Dynamic Property Type) as the type of the Condition property.

  1. Choose the roles to which you want to restrict access to this element. From now on, only these groups will be able to see the element, and it will be invisible to all other groups.

Once you switch to the Test Mode (Preview Panel) all the restrictions of the currently logged in user will be applied.

Nice!

You’ve finished all the sections of the Authentication & Authorization guide.

Maybe move on to another topic? How about Internationalization (i18n)?
