To begin, define the roles that will interact with your machine's HMI. These may include operators, maintenance personnel, engineers, and managers.
Next, define the responsibilities of each role. For instance, operators may monitor the system and respond to alarms, while maintenance personnel may perform maintenance and repairs.
Finally, limit access and grant permission to specific data, HMI pages, or even more granular elements of a page.
